Designed to provide the highest degree of protection and greatest efficiency for your drivetrain. Red Line provides a complete line of drivetrain lubricants which are optimized for differential, transmission, or transaxle use over a wide range of temperatures. Proper selection depends upon the manufacturers' requirements and whether the application is for passenger automotive, commercial, or racing use. Red Line Gear Oils contain polyol ester basestocks to provide excellent lubrication even under extreme conditions of high-loading and high- temperatures--their natural lubricity provide excellent slipperiness which reduces the sliding friction in hypoid gears to reduce wear and temperatures. The synthetic basestocks have a natural multigrade property, so large amounts of unstable thickeners are not required to manufacture our gear oils, which means that Red Line Gear Oils will provide a stable viscosity for even extended periods of use. 	Red Line MT-90 Manual Transmission Lubricant Popular in Nissan, Toyota and Mazda manual transmissions and transaxles as well as other selected applications, this is a 75W90 GL-4 Gear Oil that’s slightly heavier than MTL. 	Red Line 75W90 and 75W140 Gear Oil This is the preferred product in nearly all car and light truck differentials, both conventional and limited-slip. 75W90 is preferred for most racing applications. It contains friction modifier which is recommended for limited-slip units. 75W90 Gear Oil can be used in many transmissions and transaxles; however, other Red Line lubricants have better frictional properties for rapid synchronization. Exceeds API GL-5. 75W140 gear oil is a GL-5 rated product recommended for street-driven road car differentials where that viscosity is specified, providing excellent performance in both conventional and limited slip units. 	Red Line 80W140 Gear Oil Generally used in commercial trucks which will climb long, steep grades and some racing applications where power is not critical. Generally 0.5% less efficient than 75W90. Can also be used in differentials and transmissions where excessive noise is a problem and limited-slip differentials which vibrate excessively when turning a corner. Exceeds API GL-5. 	Red Line 75W90NS and 75W140NS Gear Oil 75W90NS is designed for manual transmissions and non-limited-slip transaxles that recommend 90 WT oil. 75W140NS is a heavier product what works well over a wide range of loads and temperatures, and is designed for manual transmissions and non-limited-slip transaxles that recommend 140 WT oils. This GL-5-type geal oil doesn't contain the friction modifiers for limited-slip hypoid differentials. This makes the transmission synchronizers come to equal speeds more quickly, allowing faster shifting and much easier low-temperature shifting. Can also be used in racing limited-slip differentials where weak spring design causes too much wheel spin. Street-driven rear-wheel drive cars should use regular Red Line 75W90, 75W140 or 80W140. Red Line ShockProof^TM Gear Oil
A unique lubricant containing a suspension of solid microscopic particles as an extreme pressure agent--unique solid dispersion which cushions gear teeth to help prevent tooth breakage and allows the use of lower viscosities.

Acting like a liquid grease, the viscosity characteristics of ShockProof® allow the lubricants to resist throwoff and provide the protection of a greater film thickness with relatively light fluid viscosity, offering a "best of both worlds" balance of low drag and superior protection.

ShockProof® products work in a variety of differential and transmissions, however, should not be used with pumps, filters, and with small lines--these fluids are designed for wet sump or splash type lubrication.

Superlight ShockProof®
A unique product with the viscosity of 75W90 gear oil but lower internal friction similar to that of an ATF. Used when temperatures are not high and when the maximum power output is required such as in stock car qualifying laps.

Used in low-power road racing transxles like Formula Vee and low-power SCCA Production classes (dog-ring type, generally not sycro application where this product can be slippery).

Lightweight ShockProof®
A unique gear oil designed to lubricate racing transmissions and transaxles which see serious loads (not recommended for most syncro-type transmissions). It has excellent low-temperature flow which allows easier shifting when cold. May be used to obtain maximum power transfer in racing differentials which do not see high temperatures. Similar to a 75W140 gear oil, but with the lower internal friction of an SAE 30 motor oil.

Used in most road-racing differentials with moderate power and dogring racing transaxles.

Heavy ShockProof®

Red Line 80W Motorcycle Gear Oil with ShockProof®
Designed for applications like two-stroke motocross bikes, shifter karts, the CRF 250 450 transmission. Used where an 80W oil is called for, ShockProof's microscopic solid medium provides cushioning between gear teeth, while maintaining lower drag. Reduces the thinning effect from high temperatures.

Provides the balanced slipperiness necessary for consistent shifting and proper wet-clutch operation.

Red Line V-Twin Transmission Oil with ShockProof®
Similar to Red Line's Heavy ShockProof®, V-Twin Transmission Oil with ShockProof® provides unequalled protection for both stock and aftermarket American V-Twin transmissions.

This product dampens transmission noise (reducing the notorious shifting “clunk” found in these gearboxes), dramatically reduces temperature, provides thicker oil films between gear teeth and completely resists throw-off. It is compatible with petroleums and synthetics.

The viscosity characteristics allow the lubricant to resist throwoff and provide a film thickness similar to a 75W250 grade, while providing the same low fluid friction as an SAE 75W90.

Red Line V-Twin Primary Case Oil
Red Line’s new V-twin Primary Case Oil is designed specifically for ’84-to-present V-Twin American motorcycle engines, including aftermarket engines of similar designs. Similar to our MTL, this product is for use in the primary chaincase with wet-diaphragm spring clutches.

Designed to operate over a wide temperature range, this Primary Case Oil improves clutch operation while reducing wear and temperature. Where most synthetics are too slippery for clutch operation, this friction-balanced product is balanced to provide less slip, smoother operation, and helps to apply more power in modified engines.

	Red Line Racing ATF Designed for use in racing automatic transmissions which need the positive shift of a Type-F automatic transmission fluid, Racing ATF contains no slipperiness additives, producing faster shifts and quicker lock-up, and can reduce elapsed time in drag racing. A higher viscosity compared to conventional Type-F transmission fluids provides higher torque converter efficiency at higher temperatures and the enhanced extreme-pressure protection provides five-times better film strength when compared to petroleum ATFs, reducing gear and clutch wear considerably.
